At around 5pm, the place started to pack up, as I watch those couples who checks in at the motel located at the other side of the street while waiting for the show to start.
Koimeteria Clothing: SFW shirt sold
I can see the excitement on everyones faces, and at around 9pm, Hell broke lose as No Second Chances started off the event, and shit really got ultra violent so early.
It was the first time I saw them perform and it was really a kick-ass set, and they were followed by Lockfist who offered a riot-inducing set.
Hood Elements happened to be the 3rd band of the night and they tore the place up. Following suit was the metalcore band from Batangas, Vagrant.
After that I took time to check out Piledriver's Merchs, and I fetched 250 bucks from my pocket and I got a shirt with a free PD sticker. A very good deal. Minutes later, I saw one of my favorite band from Laguna already setting up, Forfeit, blasted 3 songs including "Bloodlust".
Bodies flew, and also cans of sardines. :D Hell yeah! cans of sardines. Good thing it was returned to its rightful owner.
Next up were also Laguna -based bands StandOut and WalkMeHome.
Strength From Within was next to perform and delivered 3 original songs, but the crowd didnt had enough as they all screamed for more. Rexon gave everybody what theyve been asking for and wrapped up SFW's set.
Then it was Piledriver's set.
They gathered the crowd and tested the capacity of the small venue, every hardcore kids squeezed into the place to watch PD perform. And they exploded in a non-stop barrage and the entire place literally blew up.
Gin captivated the audience with his passion and angst. Howell's powerful bass line was groundbreaking. Rodney proved that he is a killer guitar player, while Reggie punished the poor drums. It was totally mind blowing.
Towards The End capped off the night as Mel made sure everyone went home partially deaf.
Thanks to all the Hardcore Kids who came, Hermit Events and Edge Prod. To all the bands, especially Piledriver. Althought somebody almost got dragged away during their set.
The show was a success and it was surely a righteous way to signal the start of a new era here in Lipa.
