11.11.11

After that, we went to Vinyl on vinyl gallery for the exhibit of a graffiti artist named Ungga.

For most of people this is vandalism, they do not see how this kind of art transform a wall into an art piece, and that's what the event is all about. "His vision is to create art that society will accept. Armed with a spray can, a bucket of paint and a blank wall as his canvas"
While we're inside VoV, it started to rain heavily, so we have no choice but to stay there and wait for the rain to stop so we can go to our next destination. Utter Dissent, at Kalye Art Gallery.
When the rain stopped, we walked all the way from Makati, to Singalong.
When we arrived, i saw the Ivan of Coche Bomba, already taking a rest. Badly, we were late.
So to treat myself, fetched 450 pesos from my pocket and got myself a shirt and cd of Coche Bomba, and had them signed. A very good deal.

What we missed
Thanks Ralph Quijano and Angelo Fan and CRAPSALAD for covering the event..

Event: No Turning Back: Take Control Philippine Tour
In this day and age where hardcore bands come and go with the speed of light NO TURNING BACK are holding true to what they originally set out to do and they're not planning on giving up, ever. Starting out in 1997 as 16-year olds in the barren south-eastern parts of The Netherlands, music was their only means of venting their anger and frustration of not fitting in, in a world that seemed sick and cold to the bone. Since those days the band has come a long way.
Driven by a merciless give-all-take-all attitude, No Turning Back have steadily been building an impressive career touring worldwide and became a household name in hardcore music, with an incredible back catalogue of five full length records, three MCDs, two split EPs and a 7'' EP. In 2006 the band put out HOLDING ON, marking a turning point in their career. Released on five continents on multiple labels, CD and vinyl, has propelled the band to new levels of relentlessness. . As their recognition continues to spread No Turning Back show no signs of slowing down. Leaning on the original NYHC sounds No Turning Back has evolved and developed their own signature grooves, fast breaks and massive sing along anthems. The sound that moves any crowd in any city in any country into a swirling mass of circle-pits, stage dives and huge sing a-longs. A split picture 7" with Strength For A Reasons was released on Filled With Hate Records this year and the band is confirmed for Europe's annual Persistence Tour. STRONGER!

"Not enough"
by Strength From WithinFrom the deception of being true
Released through the grave
Cleansing of soul & mind
Not enough to convert
Not enough
Dedication of hungry worms
The oath that keeps you live in the chains of breed
Clingin 2 what your exploited mind dictates
Staring high 2 your doom of success
Staring high 2 your doom of success
Spoken: preliminary steps in the bliss of death
Maintaining an image like an ignorant fool
Product of rape that you have adapt theres no glory 2
hide your sinister craft
